Over spray on aluminum and chrome parts comes off very easily whether wet or dry. You can spray the engine in the frame removing hardly any parts. I re-do mine each Winter project this way. I mask roughly but carefully with loose pieces of newspaper. It is not a show bike.

Ok so I should spray the cam cover with oven cleaner and it will help speed up the sanding? How long should i let it sit on?

NO!! Oven cleaner will discolor aluminum. Oven cleaner is great for removing burnt plastic and rubber on chrome. Where did ya get that idea...

Dang Internet good thing I tested it on small spot wiped off real quick then went and bought air plane stripper! Works great getting this green looking crap off!
