Default 33.4 Triple Tree Rubber Riser Bushings

Hi all, I recently picked up these 33.4 trees for a project I'm working on. I plan to run the stock clamp riser and two piece buckhorn bars, but the top tree is obviously missing the rubber bushings. I actually had a spare set of repop bushings I bought a while ago on hand, but what is the proper way to install these? I know they usually stick out the bottom of the tree maybe less than a half inch. Tried driving one in with a mallet but wasn't getting anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Default bushings

Are the bushings #56158-49? They have a metal inner and outer sleeve. Used on 54 to 72.

Bushing are press in, make yourself a gizmo with a threaded rod and washer. Also the bushing shall be a bit smaller 0.002". I like to freeze them with green loctite.
