xb9 and xb12 are the same bore, putting a 9r crank in a 12r would get you a 9r. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Are the heads between the two different xb bikes the same. Valve sizes the same between the two xb bikes.

Started life as a black 1993, 1200 Now-1218, Home ported 2009 FI heads, Andrews N6 cams, Dyna2Ki, JMC aluminum swingarm, Chainsikle custom mid forward controls, GBC inverted front end, 3 degree wide-glide trees and 5 degree raked cups. 18x3.5 fatspoke rear with 150/60 and 21x3.5 with 120/70.

Read my first post again. I want to put in the shorter stroke 9 crank with the big-bore cylinders. Hence "short stroke with big bore".

Well I got at 2003 xb9r and want to put a 12 crank in it, do u want to just swap engines and ecm's lol?

I considered that build also, but most of the professional builders I talked to, said the valve train is the limiting factor. To reach the HP levels you want would take reving the hell out of it.
Even so it would be cool to get a HD motor to rev like a NASCAR motor.

I know guys from the Hillbilly-racing-team here in Germany combined an XB9 crank with a big bore set from Millenium tech. It turned out to be an 1170 cc "short-attack" bike with 100+ rwhp. Anyway I would guess 120+ rwhp out of 1200 cc is not good for all-around street-use.
I got these numbers from a 1430 cc = 87 ci square engine with radical cams and 11:1 CR.

If you had heads and ECM to support it, it would make a good race motor for AHRMA Pro twins formula 2.
