i need to replace my exhaust gaskets (the ones that go into the head) what do i need,as there are 2 types on ebay,copper and like an asbestos one

Personal choice I suppose .. Just make sure fitment spec on add states your model and year... The fibre type washers seem to come in 2 sizes. A deep one and a shallower one but both need a bit of a tap to get them home from you tube vids i'v watched ...

Try Wemoto or hog parts here in UK..

Get the Screamin Eagle ones from the dealer, if you can. Much easier to get in & sealed properly, IMHO. The stock bits are a PITA.

Asbestos; what's the worse that could happen!

Neither the stock ones nor the SEs are copper or asbestos, so I'm not sure what you're looking at.

I always use the SE ones, # 17048-98 (this is a set of two).

I agree with George, those copper ones are really easy to install and seal extremely well, and squish intrusion into the exhaust gas flow is eliminated.
