The 100-mile Stretch is OK with me - I can squeeze it to 125 when I really need to, but the 100-mile Stretch seems to work fine to get off the bike, walk a bit for 5-minutes and go back to riding. I can see where it might be a bother on long-distance trips.
The only time it bothers me is when I'm in the mountains and get above 90-miles... Then it becomes critical to think where the next stop will be.

My 3.3 hangs on the wall. I bought a 4.5, rattle canned it hammertone dark grey and I don't worry about my magnetic tank bag scratching it. It looks good on my black 05 883. It's a pretty tank, a bit like a superglide.

On my 09 883L I have replaced the stock 3.3 gallon tank with the larger one from a 1200C (or maybe an 883 custom). I like the extra capacity BUT the real reason was for more painting real estate - lol. I also lifted it and replaced the front mounts with some better custom integrated ones that look way better.

I've gotten too used to the 6 gal fat bobs I installed... when reaching the ~240 mile mark I get a little annoyed that I'll soon have to to stop and refuel again.

The peanut tanks seem to be larger now days. They will hold around $12 worth of gasoline. Couple of years ago they only held about $6 worth.
