So a week ago after I got done with the top end rebuild on my bike, my rear exhaust pushrod tube was leaking. I was lamenting having to deal with taking apart the rear cylinder since it's tight quarters. I told a couple people it would have been easier if it was the front cylinder since there is a bit more room to work with in the frame. 250 miles in to the break-in period, I notice some oil pooling on top front of the cam box. I got what I asked for. Last night I had to tear apart the front cylinder and replace the o-ring that I cut during assembly that didn't leak for 250 miles.

That said, I was able to finagle the front and rear cylinder heads individually without needing to remove the exhaust pipes. It now takes me a hair under 3 hours to pull the head starting at putting the kickstand down to connecting the fuel line back to the pump.

Yeah you get good at it. I've had push rod tube leaks after a rebuild till I learned how to put the lower o rings in. They are the ones I had trouble with but not any more.

The first leak was a lower and was cut through the cross section. The second was an upper and cut around the circumference, probably why it took 200 miles to start leaking.
