That was a cold idle, literally the first time it's started while I've owned it. The previous owner ran it maybe 6 months ago but didn't drive it, who knows what happened before then.
Thanks for all the videos, sounds like I had it idling pretty low and I'll definitely bump it up a bit from now on. I'll let it run for a bit longer until it warms up too.

I actually didn't check, forgot to look. I did see some text stamped on the jets and should have paid more attention, but once I found that gunked up spring I was too excited to have found the issue!

Ooops, not a good idea to let it idle to warm up Best to ride off. We usually start with the choke open just enough to keep it running, then close it off as it warms up while riding.

I saw a 'tube
I think done by S&S. Showed how long it took oil to reach the top-end
I start bike and keep the revs up slightly for to let the oil pump work.
No warm-up just ride off very gently let her warm slow and even.
Hell it was 70* here this morning cold is not really an issue.
How you be brother Dave!
I use 60 straight and high summer throw in one qt 70 because it makes me feel good.
VR1 20/50 for coldest winter which is kind of a joke here and I got a deal on a case. But we are hitting 90* some days
And I ride these scoots like a teenager on an RD

I got a lot to learn! I'm really enjoying this new project so far. Starting to plan out the seat, fender, sissy bar maybe and lighting. All good fun.
