Default Seat Moves Side to Side in Front

It is a 2008 Roadster, original seat.
Problem, the seat moves side to side in the front where it connects to the tank.
Checked the parts catalog, checked other seats, checked for old threads.
The space for the front seat tab on the tank is larger than the tab on the front of the seat.
Was thinking there might be a plastic cover to slide over the seat tab to stop the side to side movement. Anyone else had this problem?

They do do that, but once you are sitting on it the seat will stay put. I do not think there is any plastic piece that fits over the tab.

A few wraps with duct tape might be all that’s required?

A little bracket bending or twisting may be in order.

Yup, the handyman's secret weapon.

Wedge is right, it does not move while on the seat.
