Cool

Depending on your foward control setup,I was able to adapt a FLH FXE shovel heal toe splined shifter on my '84 sporty.

I want to do the same thing. I want to install a heel toe shifter and a heel toe brake. Has anyone heard of a Forward control set up that has an adapter so you can still control the bike from the stock mid position. The mid position is where you have the most control in turns, look at a jockey. I don't want to only have forward controls, for that seems like you loose 60% of the control of the bike. I like the sport aspect to my Sportster, but when I chill out and use the highway pegs, I don't have the controls. Has anyone made a custom application of what I'm talking about, if so please let me see.

I have a heel / toe shifter on the Heritage and I rarely use it. Not worth the effort in my opinion. Never heard of the heel / toe brake set up. Don't think I'd like that at all.
Putting heel rests on your pegs might be a good alternative route.

Please let me explain a bit better what I want. I like my stock shifting position which is mid of the bike, like all 70's Sportys. Than you have the Hiwhy pegs up by the generator. I don't want to go strictly forward controls, for than you have less control of the bike. Look at how Evel Knievel or any stunt rider rides, pegs mid position. That way, like a jockey you can with your knees by standing up a bit absorb shock. Also you can lean the bike like sport bike. I want dual controls mid and forward. I cant believe Im the first guy that wants to do this. Im hoping someone did it so I can copy it. I have ideas but they are rather crude.
