My official title is Toyota Master Technician Gold. After 35 years and thousands of hours of training I still proudly refer to myself as a Mechanic.

Very Nice. My guess is that you are the best of both worlds.

A mechanic with tech training or a Tech with mechanical aptitude.

A technician is someone who won't talk to a man with my net worth
A mechanic is (usually, in commerce not friendship) soneone who looks down on me and automatically believes any issue on any vehicle to be my fault
A brother with a brain is a man that will take the time like they would on thier bike because they care, and will have perfection, not profit, thier ideal goal (maybe less likely to reach it, but a much more pleasant experience)

Just stereotypes based on what I've dealt with. Never dealt with a bike mechanic for work (just parts) seems cool. But, idk if that'd be the case if I was a customer. Not a broad statement, just a stereotype I carry.

A technician is the guy with the OBD2 and the mechanic is the guy with the ratchet, easy to spot in the garage

Cool thing about this site; we have some of the most knowledgeable/experienced people breathing sharing their hard-won wisdom.

Nothing like experience
