Default Chain Conversion Kit

Hello,

Now that I have my engine out of the frame I would like to convert it over to chain drive. I do not want to have to pull the engine to change a belt. Can someone recommend a conversion kit?

Thanks Dave

On a sportster you don't have to pull the engine out, just the right shock absorber. ????

This is a Buell M2.....the engine needs to come out.....or the very least the rear isolators need to be removed.

So anyone with experience with a chain conversion for a Buell?

Default Belt Change

A lot of folks poo poo the chain conversion as the rear wheel has no cush drive fitted and is considered too harsh on the output shaft bearings for road use,
I am interested in making the change over also but only that I want to fit a longer swinging arm to drag race and the belt is no longer an option,
there is a tool which I bought from a company in the states that allows you to replace the belt with very little strip down, I can't remember the company but it was recomended to me by Al at ASB I'm sure he'd let you know if you call him.
Or see this below the same principle just a different way of compresing the isolator

Hope this helps

Why a chain?

I have over 70,000 miles on my Eglide belt and it still looks new.
