That was really beautiful and real...you have a great way with words...I do believe there really is a plan and you were exactly where you were meant to be.

Beautiful story, Erik. I had a similar experience last year. And you're right -- we're very lucky. Thanks for a great read.

Holy crap GOTWA what a real person you are. I used the word real as an identifier because it means.... genuine not artificial. It's amazing when out of nowhere someone really touches our life and to be tuned into that experience makes life "real".

A couple of other things....yep, when I have to pee I get colder too. And, the chill in the air tells me hunting season is right around the corner. ( For those who believe in and do hunt....to fill the freezer for the long cold winter.)

EDIT: I did not read the responses to your thread before I posted my answer so I am adding this part........using the word real as others have.

Very real, I just wish I could put in to words, like you, the way my rides make me feel. Although that ride, with the mid trip inspiration is one thing I have yet to experience.

Thanks for a great read, and giving us all a little reminder of why we ride.

Great story, you have a good way with words. That story is what being a Biker is all about...not how much ya spent on it or how fast it is, but letting the machine help you LIVE LIFE, not just let life pass you by. Good read, buddy, I wish I had more friends like you.
