its funny... Ive had the C jiffy stand on my bike for like a year and a half with 13.2 rear shocks and never really fealt like my bike was in danger of falling over... I do have some derlin coming and will make a block...
Im a little bummed that this thread has gone to kick stands... there are several threads on kick stands and I was hoping to hear more about shocks and in particular the new HD setup... the progressive 490 shocks I want to get will be 1/4 inch shorter then what I have at 13 inches ...so my bike will be more upright on the stand
Im 50 years old .. not retired and dont always sleep well or type well :-)

Those are the shocks I put on my 13 72. Those stock shorties were killing my back, and the Comfort Flex shocks are perfect. I'll have to look into that part number for the stand.

Jzink, while the Comfort Flex shocks made the bike tolerable, I don't feel they are the answer. I believe it would have been better to put the money towards a better after market shock. I'm heading in that direction right now and I'm looking seriously at Hagon shocks.

I weigh in at 190 lbs and am 6 ft tall.

Just to update this thread-

I contacted my local dealer and asked about the rear shock length -.
They said the center to center length is 340mm, or 13.39”
The travel length is 92mm, or 3.62”

so ... its been a while and reading through this I see I hijacked this thread over a kickstand :-) found a roadster stand and its great BTW... has anyone tried the SE fork setup yet? Im running intiminators on the front and when I dropped them in found that my fork tubes were straitened at some point.... anyway Im considering buying this fork setup so I can have fresh strait fork tubes and better dampening?

I'm curious too, if the fork kit makes a big improvement $550 would not be so bad...also hope that someone has tried one and can provide a review. HD's site has only one review and it is negative, but no telling if it was installed and set up correctly.

if ever i would make a change... my guess anyway would be Ohlins

I thought that too, but looked up the part numbers and they are not the same and they look different in the parts diagrams also...the installation instructions have the numbers for the kit and diagrams.
