Supertrapp 2:1, older type with separate silencer. The original megaphone was too loud for street use so I’m experimenting with a disc-type unit

I came across this old post on another HD forum that has a tutorial on how to adapt a 4" Autozone air cleaner.
It looks like a lot of people have done it and it is really inexpensive to do.
Going to give it a go.
I will be using a K&N E-3120 washable filter with it.

I like the ham can but needed more knee room.
I wanted cheap and small so I went with the TC Bros louvered and J&P support and breather kit. Works well so far and I can tuck my knees against the tank.
Not much oil out of the breather filter yet.

a "72" round filter on, found cheap secondhand, with a cleanable filter in it.

Nothing fancy, but it works...

Well, after a day or two I was getting a spot on my leg where the filter was so I routed a hose under the bike with a filter on the end.

Going with a heavy breather would necessitate a tuner and I'm just not ready to go to that expense when it's running just fine the way it is.
