Thank you for the picture, now I'll try to track that down. From the side it looks small for enough oil capacity. I wonder if being down low creates any problems? I can't think of any.

I was envisioning an oil cooler with an oil reservoir functioning as a tank mounted up front. Any oil cooler would need to have a thermal bypass as the Sportster runs cool enough anyway, except that tank on the leg. I don't have anyway to fabricate a solution from here so I need a bolt on solution. Dollars are always the issue too. I posted here in search of ideas. Thank you to everyone that replied.

Mostly traffic lights and traffic jams, most of the heat goes away after rolling for a mile or so. It is uncomfortable when stopped on a hot summer day. My passenger has also said they feel the heat. This got me to thinking what a poor place to put all that hot oil which got me thinking there should be a better way.
