Default threadlocker on case bolts

Hokay I got my case bolts out a few weeks ago. They have of course some kind of grey factory thread locker on them. I have to get it off them and out of the holes I assume right?

I need to know what kind of solvent will work best and what kind of thread locker you use to bolt it back up when the time comes?

It is good practice to clean threads before reassembly. I just put the fixings in my ultrasonic tank. They come out clean.

To reseal the threads I use loctite 222. 222 is a soft thread sealant that prevents galvanic corrosion but is easy to release.

acetone is a solvent for the grey stuff. Aerosol carb cleaner works well also.
