Default Replacing oil lines on 85 xlh1000

Hey all. I'm gonna replace the oil lines and I want to make sure I'm not over thinking it. Looks like I have to remove the right side cover above the oil pump and the starter (therefore the primary cover) to do it properly? Thanks all.

i'm not as familiar with the "newer" ironheads, but i would think you'd need to remove the rear exhaust pipe, the rear brake master cylinder and the sprocket cover to get at the lines. maybe you can leave the starter in place and just shove the oil lines under? you'll have to make sure the hoses don't get pinched closed. this process is a little easier on older bikes.

welcome to the forum!
