I had little choice on tires as I needed something that would do 10,000 miles for the Iron Butt Rally and I wouldn't run the stock Dunlops and I hate the new ME888's (loved the 880's). No way would I experiment with a new tire before the IBR

My next tires will be the Dunlop Elites as I have heard good reports on them as far as life and grip

yeah not good to experiment with tires you don't know anything about. particularly if your doing any of the ibr stuff. i never have myself but i've put in some long distances in single days just riding the twisties in the foothills around here.

i am looking for tires at the moment myself. i was gonna go with the ME888's but have seen enough reviews about them that i think i'd rather go with something else.

i am fairly abusive on tires. i ride my sporty like a sport bike and like tires with grip mostly.

i have been using avon venom x's and have loved them for a long time. but since they no longer make them and i have ran out of my extra sets i have to get something different. i've read and watched videos about the cobra's not being even close to the venom x's.

at the moment i am considering ...

pirelli night dragon's
michelin commander ii's
shinko 777's
dunlop elite 4's

is there another tire i should consider as well? i am leaning more toward the night dragon's as i have heard they have amazing grip. but i can sacrifice a little grip for mileage as well.
