We were all in electronics and none of us were supposed to wear rings for that very reason and also because they considered them an electrocution hazard.
To this day I do not wear rings or any other jewelry for that matter.

Similar story except he was jumping down from sitting on a stack of pallets. Hooked a nail and degloved finger.

I always wear mine. I'm married and I'm supposed to I guess. Side benefit, it keeps the cougars away.

My second wife was like this. I made a set of rings out of stainless steel hex nuts. She still has them.
I work in a machine shop, pushing 70 and still have all my fingers.
Back in the 70s my good bud got his ring caught on a board going thru the plainer. We never did find his finger, but we gave his ring back.

I work in manufacturing and I'm in and out of various plants all the time. I have my nice metal ring I wear when we go out, but I have a silicone ring I bought just for work/outdoor activities/whatever else that might make a metal ring a danger.

Nope, don't need one. I ain't married and don't need to scare the cougars away, cause I am so old, they all in nursing homes or cemeteries now.
