Riot pipe gets here Tuesday, going to see what needs to be done to mount it up on my street 1250. If it sounds decent and happens to be significantly lighter than the defender I might run it on my long bike and use the 2 defenders on the street bikes. Plus, im running a Buell master on my long bike and if I have to completely redo a foot peg/brake lever combo I’d rather do it on a bike we don’t ride on the street.

I like my Riot pipe so far. Only have about 500 miles on it, but I like the sound and performance so far. No complaints here. I'd like to hear your thoughts madnss after you have time to put a few miles on it.

Yes, sir. Kinda concerned about the bracket not holding up in the long run. Might need to consider fabricating one.

I have had the f-bomb on my bike since the test in 2018 and has held up well. The only problem I've had is the worm clamp that holds the chrome cover over the Y section broke and I lost the cover. Had to purchase just the chrome cover from manaflow. It was probably my fault for over tightening the clamp, but I now just check the clamp 3 or 4 times a season. No problems with the large bracket, but I do check the torque on the bolts at the start of spring.
Overall I've been really happy with the pipe, too bad its been discontinued.

The f-bomb was just renamed the the Riot. No significant changes that anyone has picked up except Arlen Ness’s name is gone.

Back when I purchased the f-bomb, both were available. When I contacted Aaron to arrange the test, I asked him if he thought one would out perform the other based on the muffler difference (flared end for f-bomb and slightly closed for riot). He said he couldn't predict which would have better numbers so I chose the f-bomb because I liked the name (I swear too much) and I already had a Arlen Ness air cleaner so it kinda matches.
Completely took a flyer and got lucky with how the pipe performed.
I would be curious if the muffler difference changes anything, but with how similar they are, I doubt it... but you never know...
