interesting plan Mike.i remember seeing Billy Lane doing the dirty fingers rub pattern procedure on a televised chopper build years ago. the aluminum material would make it look like a race dept.piece.

Some sort of progress. Might switch to 3 series, 5 seemed a bit much for Jr to work in some spots. He did learn a few lessons on corking tool material choice. Tips he be able to bring to attempt #2. I’ll pick up a sheet tomorrow and he’ll give it another go. (He doesn’t show any signs of giving up yet, which is good….and he still chuckles a bit whenever either of us say “corking tool”)
Not sure if anyone wants to see the progress unfold, but I could start another thread instead of hanging on the tail of this one.
