Interesting bike. I'd like to ride one. Not sure if it should be called a Sportster or not.

Interesting bike, and long overdue but I'm not convinced by the specification.

I don't understand the market positioning. It doesn't LOOK like a Sportster, it isn't the cheapest Harley by a considerable margin like a Sportster but it DOES have the single front disc and limited suspension travel of the late Sportsters.

Harley don't appear to intend to race it, which leaves it trailing (in British and European eyes) behind the Indian Scout and especially the FTR1200. The Kawasaki Z900RS is a cracker of a bike for a lot less money. Ducati have a small, but strong following, then there's the Yamaha MT10.

I'll be interested to see if it sells.

Mo.Co. evired all the charisma that distinguished it's bikes from metrics... except the high prices

the truth is that I am very sad...
i had enjoyed many bikes in my life

dirt
enduro
supersport
cruiser

the only bike I learned to know everything about her...
from the way to ride her
to the last bolt in her frame...
and so doing enjoying her much more...
was the Sporty...
all of that was possible...
'cause it lasted overtime...

and now she's gone
that's so bad...

Default just sayin

imho - anyone you pass - all they will will see is a blur, then the tail light fading into the distance .
if they make a 1250cc version of the 975cc nightster I'm buying one. however I'll keep the 2000 hammer/baker conversion and my stock '07 nightster.

I've just test ridden the Indian FTR1200. The Sportster S had better be much better than its specification reads, is all I will say for now.
