Most who have ever been hit are glad they had a helmet on. Me included.

One of the reasons I ask is that when I apply for M/C insurance, I need to answer how long I've had a M/C endorsement. All I can answer is "since they were required".

I rebuilt that last year, I think from the damage done she is working pretty well, lol.
I did feel the brake binding a little at times and just thought that was the warped rotor acting up. I heard little squeaks like you do when the pads are going but nothing to make me think that the caliper was so damaged.
As far as a helmet as cold as it is here still, most I ride with wear full face modular. I wear most of the time the full face in my sig picture which is an HJC for HD. with the vents, shades and com trap door.

My point exactly, you may be just one more victim of the helmet law. Right after you had to start wearing that pot on your head, your vision was partially impaired, your hearing was also impaired, and you got hit. Coincidence? I'm not a big fan of coincidence. I think Pete Wilson damn near killed you. You should sue the &%%^#@$!!!

That should be the perfect answer. I'm surprised it took longer for California to get on board with it. I had one in NH from 72 to 75, and before that I had one in Okinawa from 68 to 72.

Especially since your hearing is impaired, it's important to listen when your brakes start talkin. By the time they make really bad grinding noises you could be wrapped around a telephone pole. Just keep an eye on the distance that the brake pad backing plates are from the rotor. No disassembly required for just looking. That looks pretty bad. I'm surprised I didn't hear it from here.

Well, I had/have a half helmet, so vision and hearing is/was not the issue IMO.
Some idiot running a red light and turning left into me was the real issue. Pete didn't cause that.
You do have a point. I did crash after I was required by law to wear one. Hmmmmm.
