The balls should make it to the ends of both ramps regardless weather they slide or roll.

So I checked the clutch, there are no spacers for the springs. Not sure how you would even measure the 11/32" clearance... Def need the clutch puller if I even want to loosen the adjusting nuts.
When I took the cover off, I removed the grease that I had put on the clutch ramp, reassembled the clutch ramp, and did the clutch adjustment process, but again, the clutch is like a rock.
I can adjust the free play all I want, but as soon as the free play is taken up, it's like the clutch pin is pushing on a rock wall. It's so stiff that I'm bending my clutch perch.
Running out of ideas here...

From the releasing disk surface that the six nuts are on, measure straight in from the outer edge of the releasing disk to the outer drive plate. (thats the thing retained by that big wire ring.)
Loosen (or tighten) the nuts evenly till it measures 11/32. Judging from the amount of thread extending from the nuts it looks like they may be tightened all the way down. If so the clutch won't release.
Refer again to post 18.

So I measured and set the clearance there to 11/32 then did the clutch adjustment process and still no dice.
I pull the clutch lever and it locks up as soon as you pull through the 1/8'' free play.

From that pic it looks like the pressure plate nuts are driven on too far.
Are there sleeves on the studs behind the pressure plate?
They don't call me Ironhead Rick just because I'm hard headed

I don't know what year they updated the wet clutches. The preferred setup,I believe, is the later steels and sleeves. Measure the sleeves to make sure they have not been crushed. Early style adjustable can be changed to sleeves by adding sleeves and clearancing/replacing steels.
Always use new nylocks on the pressure plate.
