On my old air cooled dirt bike, if I crossed a river with a very hot engine it would loose power for a few seconds and then recover. My machinist said the cylinder went out of round from the cold water hitting it on one side. Maybe that's what happened?

long, cold winter...went down to 20 degrees again last night in Ely, MN...frost as far south as Princeton just north of Minneapolis....we''' be in the 60 this week again
