I've got my muffler set up pretty much complete. Also, I went back to the stock cams for now. I have changed up my rear shock setup and it's back to stock height, still using the XB swingarm and wheel. I also cut off the entire subframe and footpeg bracket things. Also I removed the wiring harness.
I'm going to put a fat bob tank on the blast. The tank is from 2016 I believe.
There's a big cut out in the tank for the fuel pump, which I obviously won't need. I'm gonna cut out a big plexiglass sheet to cover the hole, and it will provide me with a huge fuel sight glass XD
Do you guys happen to know what kind of fuel injection Harley used on fat bob's in 2016? I need to convert the fuel outlet from fuel injection to a simple petcock. Some companies make conversion parts, such as Pingel, but theirs is rather expensive for a simple fitting and they say it only fits Pingel Branded petcocks. Drag specialties also makes a petcock conversion, saying it will fit any petcock with a 22mm nut. However, the drag specialties part says it works on harleys with 'Delphi Fuel Injection'. I don't think that includes a 2016 fat bob, but I'm have trouble finding that information.

I am told a 7/8 bolt will fit the hole too, and if I wanted to work real hard I suppose I could buy one, drill a hole in it, and tap it for another bolt or weld on a fitting or something, but that sounds rather annoying

I would look at Lexan instead of Plexiglass (acrylic). Plexiglass is brittle and could crack in a wreck. Lexan will take a bullet pass through without shattering. In either case you will need to make a flange so that the edge doesn't warp from tightening the screws, which would cause it to leak.

Not saying you are gonna wreck, but we all do now and then.

Yeah I've been thinking about making a flange, or changing materials. It would suck if my sight glass dissolved or leaked.

Also, about the fuel injection. I've looked into it, and have done some searches. Delphi came up, but in looking at outlets and fittings, it seems that there was a change in 2007?
Some of the conversion fittings say they fit only with delphi fuel injection, but also say that they only fit fat bob's from 2004 to 2007. Other ones say they only fit 2008 to 2017, so I presume there was a change in how the fuel pump works.

Ok, I reckon I figured it out. 2007 being the last year for carbs meant that the drag specialties ones fit into stock carbureted bikes up to that year. After 2007 it says it doesn't fit because obviously a petcock adapter doesn't fit with fuel injection.
Probably.
Anyway, I'll buy the drag specialties one and see if it does in fact fit.

Got the petcock attached and working. Only problem right now is that my bike dies after several miles. It can be easily started by shaking it, and then starting like normal.
I believe I need to adjust my float bowl valve. What's happening, I think, is that the valve is adjusted badly causing fuel to not flow well enough, so after cruising for a while at good rpms the float bowl isn't filling fast enough and it runs out of fuel. Shaking it then causes the fuel to quickly flow into carb and allows it to restart.
Perhaps the problem is that my fuel line is too long and causes the fuel to not flow fast enough. But I believe the trouble is in the float bowl.
I recorded a motovlog and my bike died while filming.
My bike dies at 5:45. I explain what I think happened towards the end at 15 minutes. Click for a link to the video.

If you guys have any input, or you think there's a different problem, please let me know.

If you guys care to follow my Buell Blast build, I'll be continuing with it on my youtube channel, as well as camping and stuff.

Looks like youtube comments got you covered for venting.

I would not mess with carb float yet. You describe in the video " Not getting fuel". Pull The fuel line and put one end in bucket. . Idle and twist throttle once in a while and see if flow stops. Time how long it takes to die while riding first.

Yeah I had thought it might be related to the float, because I've had to adjust it in the past, and I figured I might have messed it up XD
It used to overflow which was really annoying, but I fixed that by bending the float, and I figured maybe I had bent it too much. Venting seems to be the more likely culprit now.

Woohoo! I made a new tail section for the blast, and fixed the dumb venting problem by simply replacing with a vented gas cap. https://www.instagram.com/p/CN6U7OaB...d=uf67wpmrfspd
There she is now, and is doing great! I'll be making a walk-around video this weekend and I'll post it here as well.
