Default Revolutions Sportsters with a 4 year warranty?

Revolutions Sportsters with a 4 year warranty?

"So maybe you’ve been combing through the motorcycle forums and reading about some issues with the latest Harley models powered by the brand, spanking new Revolution Max engines.

Maybe that’s what is holding you back from buying one. Well, Harley Davidson corporate wants to re-assure you by tacking on two free years of warranty, on top of the standard two-year warranty the company gives to buyers of all new Harley Davidsons.

That’s a pretty powerful incentive, doubling the warranty coverage. The drawback? The offer extends only through the end of this month, until December 31."

HD: No Worries
Those issues include stalling, trouble updating new software, new bikes sold to customers without coolant and broken timing chain tensioners.

https://www.hdforums.com/articles/ha...on-max-models/

That’s a pretty powerful incentive, doubling the warranty coverage.

they'd better lower prices
that's an incentive even better

and pay attention on mileage clause
back in 2018 I went to extend warranty for another 2 years after the first two were expired...
no way since they said I rolled 40k kms in 2 years...
it was permitted to me only a franchise... that I refused because it covered very little and was very expensive

so in november 2018 expired warranty and... in July 2019 totalled the engine 'cause a broken crankpin...
no warranty... but a good will obtained at 50%instead... and I can consider myself lucky... and grateful to the dealer (I am customer since 2001)

thanks for the info anyway

Sounds like they're having trouble selling the NOT-Sportster...

And who wants their bike in the shop instead of riding? Even if it's free.

The XLForum members avoid the HD dealer service like the plague. Lots of stories of incompetence.

I hope HD remains in business (as a parts warehouse of Real Sportster parts). Since they cancelled the Real Sportsters, I hope they make better decisions on other products to keep the company alive.

"How can we get owners back into the "Service Dep't." (profit center)?
"Extend the warranty, then when they come in find something else that's going bad but not covered by the warranty".

All dealers use this, including Lexus and Mercedes.

When Kia started selling cars here they gave a 7 year warranty. Apparently they didn't need to as the cars have been very reliable. Just a selling feature.

It is bad when you have to offer an extended warranty because there is liable to be faults.

It's when the moocoo will offer a 0% ten years financial deal that the revolution will die.

Now they want you with a 10% / 10 years on a 120 cubic inches Screaming-Eagle softtail.
