Except possibly for legal reasons, helmets aren't often needed. But they, helmets, are nice to have when they are needed for more then legal reasons.

I am going to buy two helmets: Bell Qualifier DLX (probably MIPS) and some half helmet e.g. Bell Scout Air.
I found some Bell half-helmets in local H-D dealership. And there is nowhere to try Bell full helmets in my corner.
It seems that M sized Bell half-helmets fit good for me. Also, I have seen comments and reviews saying that Bell FullFace helmets are very tight.
Considering my head circumference (58cm), which is on brink between M and L, should I consider to choose Large size for Bell FF?

It's now just about head size; it's also about shape. You really need to try a helmet on before buying.

Yeah, like when it is 30 degrees and you are riding. Full face is nice in winter.

I'm with you brother. I rode all the time I lived in NH without a helmet, then I moved to California and there were no helmet laws here so I rode without a helmet here too, until Pete Wilson decided that my rights weren't worth shit as long as he was governor. I slid down the 60 freeway at 74 MPH without that lid either and walked away from it like any other get off. After Wilson took our rights away I slid down the 91 freeway at 65 MPH with a lid and that went fine too. I highly recommend a Bates Leather jacket. But if you crash enough you learn how to keep your head out of the drama.

Funny you should say that. We had dinner with a friend and his wife and she was saying that she had trouble finding a helmet to fit, and discovered that she had an English shaped head so she got a British helmet and it fits great.
