Yeah. I have not had a chance yet to unpack and erect yet. Due to my foot snafu.
I will update with pics in this thread later on when my body heals better.

Referring to my previous post. I was asked to erect it by a buddy member here and post pictures.

So here is part one.

1st picture is to show how big it is to pack on a bike.
2nd picture shows contents inside the bag. <tent stakes are there. just missed in the photo is all.>
3rd picture is to show how many poles and everything spread out.
4th picture is to show size of personal space for the user <tent cabin>

It is getting into the 90F presently so I am taking a break and just posting this for now as I ran out of gas erecting this so far. It is windy outside. So the rope is tying down the cabin while I sit in the a/c in the house to post this and hydrate myself to begin again after this.

Instructions say this is a 2 person job to erect this. The 1st part. Cabin part pictured. Easy Peasy, simple sweet to erect. Just criss cross and throw it up.

The add-on extension? Looks to be a lot harder and I decided to take a break before tackling it.
The rain fly has 2 different sides. One side is rubberised while the opposite side is fabric.
I can stand inside the tent if I bow my head. I am 6' 6" tall.

The Iron Head is mine. It is a 1980 XLS Roadster. Basically bone stock except for the seat, handlebars, air cleaner, points cover, bitch bar, pipes, and gas tank.

If I forgot to mention anything? Just ask.

Edit: Just left click on the pictures to get full size images. If wanting more detail. Left click on the image again.

Looks like it packs up pretty big.

I use an Ozark Trail 2 man dome tent. I've had it for a number of years and it's been good for me.

Here's a photo from the 2012 Redwood Run.

I don't see a part or model number on the tent bag, but it is 7'x7' and 3.5' tall at the center. Packed up it measures 6"x6"x25" and fits in my tour pack. Should pack well on the back of a Sporty. It bungied to the forks on my '62 with no problem when I put it there.

Link to tent at WalMart

Not too bad for only $25.

Gas Tank is for those long spaces between gas stations in the desert. You know how big I am.
So the bike geometry has to fit my large framed ass.

I have had this scooter for a long while. I used to blow the doors off of softails in the 90's here locally with just a bendix carb. and some changed out sprockets. These dudes here locally are mostly credit card bikers.

I am tying down the tent today to the red Cushman in the pictures. Seeing my ironhead out in the sunshine makes me want to hop on it today and take it for one last fling before I tear her down this winter for a makeup and pedicure job. She needs some TLC from me. My winters are like your Spring or Autumn. Nice and comfy.

I think he is commenting on the rear brake being on the left side of the bike and the shifter being on the right side

I tent camp off the bikes often and I've never found a desire for one of those tents. I use a Kelty backpacking tent and my bike does just fine sleeping outside, even in the rain. If it's raining out then I'll be wearing rain gear and riding in the rain so starting out on a wet bike makes zero difference.

Opinions vary, that's mine.
