Never posted here. On the 4th I ran and made it to the finals of our local class. Coming out of the burnout in the final something went wrong and I ended up smacking the ground. Fractured two ribs, swollen knee and bunch of bruises and scrapes. Body is all back to normal except the ribs.

Forgot to get a pic of the tank but gas tank was ruptured.

But I’ll end the post on a positive note with a not damage pic lol

Tried something a little different this past weekend. And ohhhhh man am I hooked!! First track day and I took to it incredibly well. Skipped novice class, and then tested out of advanced class, so I didn't have to attend any training classes (was a ride smart course track day) .
Spent the rest of the day making rounds and following and being followed by my General manager who is a seasoned road racer. After following his lines and learning how to enter and exit an apex, and learned the course, he then followed me a few rounds and would critique my body position and give me tips as to what I'm doing right and wrong. By the end of the day I was dragging my knee around almost every turn and doubled my speed in cornering. Such an amazing feeling! Shifter issue kept me out of the last round, but I think I found an additional form of motorcycle racing to participate in. It's a nice change from drag racing, I think my 2020 season will have some road race days added in the mix with PMRA real street season.
Next drag race is september 21st, if your near Oklahoma, the race is in Noble and will be a 2 day event paired with Tombo's annual throw down.

You’re looking good, and I can attest to the benefits of track days as have done a few with fellow forum member “Sprink”, learned more in a couple days on track than over 50 years of road riding. So glad for the learning experience.

Man that's the truth! I consider myself a well trained experienced rider. From slow speed competitions on baggers to racing around on the streets for 13 years on various bikes and working with them every day for 10, but I agree I learned more about controlling that Bike in 4 hours than I have in 13 years, you just can't ride it how its meant to be on the streets like you can at a closed course, it is awesome! I cant wait to go again. My kid saw some of the footage and wants to do it now so bad lol, so his bike is being set up now for both jr drags and road racing, he is a speed demon so really not surprised lol.
Anyways just thought I'd share something a little different!

Having a similar problem, 8.97@140. Did a leak down test and found 17% on the rear and 48% on the front. Used new castings so can’t say I surprised but it’s still a hassle.
