I may have to get over there for the next one, great lineup, I didn't know some of those were still playing.

I rode my Sportster to work. It is supposed to get a power wash on the 50 miles back home. OORAH!

I pulled the Ham Can cover off and I am running the filter with no cover right now.

Test ride after the carb rebuild went great. Bike actually runs better with new vac lines.
Problem was I noticed the bike getting a little wobbly at times.
Got home and noticed a nail in the rear tire.
Pulled the wheels and dropped them off at a local shop for some new skins.
Spent a couple hours sanding and polishing the fork lowers.
Any suggestions on keeping them shiny other than keeping them waxed?

Rode about 450 miles escorting a couple of the kids from Chillicothe, Ohio. Woody and Shane are doing a run around Lake Michigan.

Hellbent you could try lacquering them after polishing. My Honda 500/4 had lacqured forks & engine covers but after about a year it started lifting so I took it off and just kept polishing

Use "Nev'r Dull" or "Flitz" metal polish. The finish lasts a very, very long time. Nev'r Dull is usually available at Truck Stops, it's a cotton wadding type polish. I think it's finish lasts the longest, just harder to find around here.
