Default '85 XLH 1000 Generator & Gear Neutral Switch

Hey guys,

I've searched and asked around, but no one can help me properly.

After rebuilding the electrical system on my bike (low volt battery + reg/rec) I need to polarize my gen. But I cant find the two terminals to connect the jumper lead from batt.
Its the last model before evo, so the generator is build in? There are only two leads coming out of the engine block, going to the reg/rec (without any labels)

Second big question, where do I find the gear neutral switch? I'd like to connect it to my speedo, but I guess there is none?

Sorry if this got asked a thousand times. But I couldnt find an answer which helped me.

Stay safe and greetings from Hamburg
Abo

Alright, so it doesn't matter how I connect the wires from alternator to reg/rec?
I got 3 leads from reg/rec: ground/A/F

Thanks a lot, appreciate it!

you dont have a generator or standard regulator F/A .You have an alternator and is uses a rectifier/regulator.There is no A/F connection. 2 wires go straight into the rectifier and one wire from the rectifier to the battery
Make sure you have the correct one

And check for the clutch hub wobble. Go to sportsterpedia http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/t...ef:priclutch01 and search "the dreaded clutch basket wobble", if you are not familiar with the problem.
