Default Stock mufflers on V&H head pipes?

My 99 1200S with forward controls has V&H Straight shots. There is no way I will be able to get this inspected with these pipes on. Does anyone know if stock Sportster mufflers will fit the V&H head pipes? Thank you.

They should. I have the same pipes kicking around my garage somewhere, they're 1.75" pipes, like the stock ones. What's the inspection for? I don't think that either one will perform better than the other for emissions...

Thanks, I'll see if I can measure them. It's for noise. Most places around here will fail the state inspection for loud pipes. Nothing louder than stock....... Most have 'inspection' exhaust. lol

1.75 od on the head pipe. That will save me some $$ and time replacing just the mufflers. Than I’ll be able to slide the straight shots back on if I want.
