Default Fitting 2003 sportster seat to 2004 sportster

Has anyone done this? There is a seat that I like to buy and put on my bike. Based on the research I did 2003 has the tongue on the frame and 04 on the seat...any other difference?

I think you are talking about a considerable fab job. Frames are different.

A few people have asked about it over the years. I don't recall anyone actually going ahead and having a go at it, once they realised what would be involved.

You also have to consider the size of the fuel tank.

Not worth the trouble in my book, seats should be available for your year. Even if it's a used seat at a good price it's not worth time amd expense to modify
