I was over at a friends house last night and he was telling me about his supercharged sports car that was in the shop. He ran regular 87 in it for three years until the motor failed. When he took the head off there was damage to every piston from knock with pieces of metal inside each cylinder. Yikes! He said that unless your motor has a knock sensor you won't always know when you're hurting your motor.

He said he thought it had a knock sensor and with 9.3:1 compression and 3lbs of boost and wasn't worried about it. He's a very serious experienced car guy. I guess he's not perfect. In his favor, I never heard engine knock when I drove it a couple of years ago and I usually can tell if an engine isn't happy.

My Pastor(Salesman) told me to use Premium in my 18 1200C. But as far as Brand? I have run Wawa, Quick Check and Sunoco 93 without issue. My previous 15 Street 750 was Picky. It would run on any premium. Problem was, Cold Start in the morning. Wawa for some reason would cause a Start then Stall. Usually once or twice. 1st start of the day. Quick Check, Sunoco, Exxon or any other Top Tier never caused a problem. The Dealer was stumped. If I used Wawa, Add some Lucas FI cleaner, Never had a problem.
