The way I read it if the rivet job is no good you’re wasting your time with any sort of sealer, so that is top priority, not bodging over bad work. What I think Chevelle is talking about is letting the epoxy seep into the little gaps and machining imperfections, so hard or soft doesn’t really matter?

Not to keep on about it but that would be another benefit to the 3bond - when it “hardens”, it’s still flexible. It doesn’t turn into tile grout or anything!

doodah you've put bad images in my mind. The thought of tile grout in the primary is not a good one.

OK yes I get that. The tiles in my kitchen don't move so I guess their friction has been modified. trying to think physics after getting home from the pub is interesting!

i must agree doodah. ive been using yamabond since i was ehh about 12 or so and still love the stuff (well except one time i didnt pay attention where i put a big adjustable on the tube with the cap off and had to get it un stuck the next day. clearly paying attention didnt happen at 13 )
all this said ive never used it for dry clutch rivits but the idea makse sense to me.

side thing whats wrong with friction modifier i run 70/145 rear fluid in my primary.

Do you really run 70/145?? That’s awesome, like a muscle car!!! At age 13, I was “borrowing” my dad’s ‘66 chevy c10 - no power steering, no power brakes, 3 on the tree. Funny how he always seemed to know, but I never got in trouble over it!

yes i do. wet clutch doesn't seem to care either way which was my concern when we started using it. gears and chain seem to do well in it. also were dumping the full quart in.
do keep in mind to anyone who doesn't know about my bike. the transfer valve is sealed, dont try this if yours isnt.
