Default Bracket class at home track

There is no motorcycle bracket racing at our home track, which is NHRA track, very nice facility etc. ( Castrol Raceway Edmonton ).

I've made some inquiries at the track and said they'd run a class no problem.

Having said that, they'll be a mix of bikes ( metrics and V-twin ) I'd imagine, ranging from 8.XX bikes and up. Looking for input on class or classes with a low bike count ( for now ) to keep it simple.

Not sure what you’re looking for but at Lebanon Valley Dragway we run NHRA Division One rules. Handicap start on a .500 sportsman tree with TrueStart, low reaction time gets the bye. I’ve run with as little as 7 bikes and more than 32. Simple, no problems.

Tinz, The base MC rules are the same at New England Dragway for the MC/ sled ET Eliminator class. NHRA already has a rule package in the books for this type of class. NED also has an amateur (no money) MC class for "street" (no bar, no 2 step, hand clutch, no slider/ slipper clutch) bikes that is held on TnT days.

Thanks CW, we've got a fair mix of bikes so will blend some existing rules and try to keep everyone happy and racing at a fair price.

Speaking of price, what does a day of racing at your track cost? Gate plus entry fee?....how many runs on a good day?

Wednesday night Orlando Speedworld; $25 to run. Probably get 5/7 runs in. If your quick back to staging lanes two passes at a time.

Thanks fellas, were about the same then, $40 Friday night Street Legals where pretty much anything goes if it's safe, had 24 runs one night on the Sporty.

Our 'events' are $200 for the weekend plus gate ( ~$50 ) might get 10 hits, more if ya go rounds.
