Default Going up a size...

Just ordered my 200 swingarm kit from chopper-kit-USA.com. They were the only company that sells the complete wide rear kit as well as the wheel needed. My stock is a 16" but I opted to go one size up and went with a 18" x 5.5" 40 fat spoke rim in all gloss black, hubs included.

Since going up a size, and wanting to trim the rear fender some, what kind of fender rails are available? I've only been able to find stock rails. I do know I'm gonna have to raise the fender some to make way for the tire and even thought about cutting down the existing rails but it won't look as good as a set actually made for it. Anyone know who makes custom fender rails or am I looking at having to get them fabricated?

Using a lower profile 18” tire will be near the same O.D. as the 16”.

Perfect...thanks guys. I know the kit I ordered comes with a tire, just don't know the exact size of it. If it's too big I'll just get the rubber I really wanted anyway. Slowly but surely it's coming together. First the rear, then end of the summer I'll work on putting on a wide glide front then next winter is the engine work. Not gonna be a "typical sportster" that's for sure...as long as my finances allow that is.
