Today progress: new swingarm (2001) and new rear brake. Fits perfectly.

Today progress: none. Sleeping, drinking, f**ing, smoking. Need to relax too.
However, got some new good deals. Two 4 piston calipers from v-rod for $40 each and left and right fork assemblies. Right is NOS from XR1000, for $39 and left is from crashed FXRS for $50. The FXRS tube is bent but who cares, I only need legs.
They both are 35mm and have evo style mounts for calipers. Just two adapters and I have dual 4 piston brakes on front.

Searching all over the forum, all over the internet, and the info is different everywhere.
The question is, how large are these tanks:
Turtle - 3.9.
Superglide/Roadster/XLT - 3.6 or 3?
Seems there were the small and large versions too?

Upd.
Looks like I've found the info. So the one piece "banana" tanks all were the same 3.6gal except with center dashboard. The only difference is mounts and reserve level.

Got the fork today. Does anybody know, if there is part number for this washer/spacer?

Today progress:
New 35mm fork legs with evo-style caliper mounts succesfully adapted to 1983 and earlier fork tubes. Looks good.

But now need to buy the front axle, spacer and speedo drive unit matching the year. Because I forgot that in 1984 and later they relocated the speedometer drive unit from right side to left side.

While the new axle is coming, here is the brake adapters to retrofit 2000+ calipers to pre-99 mounts.
Looks pretty good? Yeah.

What else could go wrong? Come on, it fits well except they changed the brake rotor size next year. Ha-ha.

Ok, I can go and buy the new 11.5 front rotors.
Probably?
No? Why?!
Well, acording to zodiac.nl they used 10" rotors from 1972 to 1980 and 1978 from 1984 on FL.
THEN in 1977 till 1983 they suddenly changed THE INNER ROTOR DIAMETER to 2" 13/32. And then just came back to 2" inner diameter. Nobody noticed. Really.
The end.

So the options I have is
1) Buy newer rotors and bore the center $+$
2) Buy newer rotors and new front wheel $+$$$
3) Buy newer rotors and two rotor spacers $+.$ (Is it even possible? Does the rotor use its center to hold on wheel too?)
Ok Google, how much a human being can live eating only instant noodles?

The rotor is installed and held in place by the bolts. It is not necessary for the hole in the rotor center to be a close fit on the axle.

I see that your caliper is using some kind of a bracket to mount to fork leg. Have you removed your caliper from this bracket and looked to see if a different bracket would work to align your caliper on your existing rotor? Might be less $$ to fabricate bracket.
