But, the remedy you mentioned gets more into government control than I'd like to be.
Some people can't take vaccines without getting ill and some seriously ill.
If parents took responsibility for the informed health of their kids (and others) in the first place, we wouldn't need the government involved. Hell, if everyone obeyed the Golden Rule, we wouldn't need any government.

Agreed on some not able to be vaccinated. I work with special needs kids, some of whom cannot be vaccinated and are put at risk by those who easily can be vaccinated.

Funny, when I started teaching, I got sick occasionally for the first year or two. Now, I haven't been out a day sick in over 20 years. I always figured I was exposed to so many kid's germs, I just became immune to it all. Our immune systems are a wonderful and mysterious thing.

Funny enough, I decided to introduce the analogue temperature gauge to my Sporty when I first got it because the OE oil cap is a pain in the arse to remove. I'm amazed and disgusted that HD would even make the damn TANK out of plastic, and stick such a cheaparse convoluted oil cap system on it, especially when other parts tend to be metal anyway. Yes it's cheaper, but not what I'd expect on a bike of its price. They should have made it a threaded cap and metal tank.

I found the following in similar traffic and weather conditions:
  • HD 360 -> ~210-230°F
  • HD SYN3 -> ~230-250°F
  • HD SYN3 with new A/C -> ~210-240°F
  • Mobil 1 V-Twin with new A/C -> ~190-230°F
My legs were calibrated originally with HD 360 and there's a notably cooler engine despite what the tank temp says. Also I reckon switching to the new air cleaner helped me in a few ways:
  • Smaller than the OEM one which allows air to pass through the fins easily.
  • Made of aluminum, increasing the thermal mass, and also helps dissipate heat.
There are also a handful of outliers I haven't included. Occasionally all would go up to 250°F but only if I'm stuck in heavy traffic for hours at a time in heat. I'll be testing how the Mobil 1 handles this condition soon enough, but so far it seems promising. It is very expensive though. Even under rough heat and traffic I've never seen the temp gauge go past 250°F, hopefully not just reaching some limit of the gauge itself!

Now, for any fellow Aussies who are afraid of fahrenheits, chillax mate. It's fine when comparing temperatures, and the HD analogue gauge is available in American. Besides, the numbers are bigger.
