I'm sorry to hear the news on the tumour wasn't what we were all hoping for... A bugger indeed.
Not sure what type of Catheter they are implanting, but I have a Port-a-cath in my right side chest and it has been an absolute blessing. I've had it for over 12months; a bit of discomfort initially laying on my right side, but that passed after a month. Though I still use a sheepskin seatbelt buddy as the belt crosses right over it when I'm driving. It's implanted completely under the skin, so can still swim etc and have had no dramas at all with infection. Added another scar, but, well, what's another one lol Anyhow, it has stopped the stress of constantly searching for suitable veins and the pain when they collapse, and made my treatment visits quicker. Hope you find that yours works out equally as well.

So yes, like you, I'm in agreement about the incredible progress they are making with research and the new immunotherapy approaches are certainly giving hope. Just hope they don't price the new drugs and treatments out of reach for governments and insurers.
I am so happy you are getting good results Trace that is nice to hear. Yes this year has flown past so fast before we know it Christmas will be here. Keep on keeping on Trace all the best Andy

Sorry to hear this news mate. Hang in there buddy. I have had a catheter in my chest for 4 years now but just put the paper work in last week to get it removed now It is not needed. But I must say it was the best thing a lot better than getting jabbed in the arm all the time for chemo . Let us know how you are doing once you start treatment. All the beat Andy
