Default Parts Search (Mainshaft Inner Race)

About a year ago my transmission on my '88 sporty locked up shifting from 2nd to 3rd, 3rd gear splitting into several pieces and annihilating the rest of the tranny. Long story short, as of recent I have been searching for parts and I've found everything except the inner race for the main shaft that goes between the main sprocket and the tranny case. Anyone have a part number or any lead of some sort? I've looked on Dennis Kirk and J&P and it isn't on either. In other words, it's the inner race for the needle bearing that leads to the first sprocket.

Go to “Ronnies H.D.” Parts microfiche, pick your 1988 Sportster, it will give you a schematic with a numbered parts list with the appropriate part numbers. I just had a look but only show a seal behind the sprocket?

Here's the 1988 Transmission page:

http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche....ISSION%20GEARS

You talking about #14(9118 - NEEDLE BEARING, CRANKCASE) & #22(35041-84 - BEARING RACE, MAINSHAFT)?

IXL2Relax, thank you so much I've been searching high and low everywhere for these parts; I wish I would've known about that sight sooner! Thank you too sportsterpaul, there is a race on there, if you follow Relax's link its #22, the seal is right next to it on the outside of the bearing.

Great, so glad when things work out. Oh, most H.D. Dealers have an online parts finder availible, we believe Ronnies was one of the first and has become very popular here. Let the bonding continue.
