No i always had electronic ign since i bought the bike . I also know how to polarize the genny saw a video once.since i am having a hard time starting the bike so i can't tell if the genny is good or bad especially with a kickstart. I took the hell outa me,if you know what i mean.currently i am replacing both the coil and ign, and see where it goes.

The standard Cycle electric 65A genny puts out only 10 amps. I believe that you need the DGV-5000 to get the higher output.

The expression "carb support" is not accurate. What needs to be supported is the heavy, bulky air cleaner. We usually run a support brace between the back of the air cleaner to a lifter block bolt. If you do not have this support you really need to install it.

I will be installing my coil and timing my bike this coming weekend. I have a few q's to make the process a bit smooth.
1. I took the genny wire out to install ign module. I am pretty sure I installed them correctly but I still need to confirm that the wires from A and F terminals are going to the respective terminals on my bosch regulator. since they are both black in color .Is there a test to chase the wire correctly?
2. I need to perform a continuity test (light bulb) when timing . So do I need to connect my test light to the blue wire on the coil and other end of test light to ground?
currently my primary setup is blue wire on one side of coil and red and white wire on another side of coil.btw its dyna DS6-1 ign module.
Thanks
