Default Aftermarket (Drag Specialties) or OEM belt?

I want to change out my belt and carry my old belt as a spare and the price difference is substantial. Just under $200 for OEM and $145ish for Drag Specialties. Other sources or brands recommended? Thanks.

...so I get an email that says I got a response to this inquiry (thanks for that) but nothing shows up here...I’ve been black balled!

The responder said he liked the Buell belt made by Goodyear (from my e-mail).

E-mail from tap-a-talk, no private message (PM).

I also thought it strange to get 50 some reads with no responses...

Thumbs up

Lol. I deleted my response because I didn't realise you had a 2017 bike before I wrote it And from what I read the Goodyear belt only works on bikes up to 2003. The Goodyear belt I was talking about was the G0500.1aae also used by Buell which I have on my 02

Looked up the drag specialties belt, the image on Dennis Kirk shows it is a Goodyear Falcon, which is about $125 on J&P Cycles (cheaper for members). OEM belts are less than $100 on eBay.

I'll probably get the Goodyear myself.

Maybe this helps. There seems to be the OE belt and the Falcon (Goodyear) belt:

1" 137T

OEM 40591-07
DS 1204-0061
J&P 602-608
Falcon (Goodyear) Mfr # BDL SPC-137-1
