Default Fuses instead of circuit breakers

Hi!

I'm planning on replacing the circuit breakers (1) in my -92 XLH 1200 for a small fuse box (something like 2).
Or would you suggest otherwise?

1.

2.

Thanks.

The last several years of the hard mounts have blade type fuses.

Yes. So, I also have an 1999 XL1200C, so figured it would work.
But it always feels better to have it confirmed, since my own knowledge regarding these things is relatively limited.

So there's nothing in perticular, other than A values, I need to think about?
I can go ahead and just switch 'em?

Just make sure you use blade type fuse box, because the one from your photo is unreliable non blade type fuse box.

Good luck

I'd opt for the mini blade type fuses since they are readily available and instead of going down to a 2 fuse block I'd probably go with a 4 fuse block (ignition, instruments, lights and accessories)... don't our 98-03 Sporties have 4 circuit breakers all of which are 15 amp?

BTW, I haven't seen many other people named Jens over the decades other than during the televised winter olympics or cyclist Jens Voigt.

Ah. The "2" in my first post was a pic. reference.
Yes, since there are 4 circuit breakers, my plan was to go with something like this (the one to the left):

It would be convenient with mini blade fuses, I agree, but I haven't been able find a box for such yet.

My -99 has 4 x 15 A blade fuses.

I see what you're saying.
I'm from Sweden and it's a bit more common name here.
