Highway Pegs recommendation
I'm seriously considering reverting back to mid controls but having forward pegs for extended rides. Anyone have a recommendation for what highway peg set would bolt up to the late '84 frame that would not interfere with the exhaust?

I had to modify some V-Twin highwaypegs to bring them back a little for my short legs. The normal kit had the chrome bracket that hung the pegs out in front of the exhaust and it was a reach for me. I found that I could make an offset bracket that the bent peg mounting bar would bolt to that also fit a hole in the motor mount and let the peg slip between the cam cover and the exhaust pipe. Perfect fit for my legs and gives me that great ability to stretch the old legs nwhen needed.
I can get you some pics that show my setup but will have to wait until the weekend (bikes are in a storage garage right now).

My Super Low had the mids as standard and I considered changing to forward controls. I bought a cheap set of forward controls and fitted just the pegs to try out the position before changing the linkage. In the end I didn't fit the linkages only the pegs. I can stretch out when I want to on longer runs.
So, why not keep the forward control pegs and just delete the linkages to the gear change and rear master cylinder then install the mids. Saves you a bit of money and you know where the pegs are already.
