Battery
HI
what battery size for XL1200c. one i have on it doesnt seem to keep its charge
its only six months old ,and connected a Optimate tender ,
just went to start bike had put it on full charge for half an hour ,,
Must say bike is standing its not being ridden

Parts store will bench test yours.l
I'd also check for loose connections.
Plus I pull the 30 amp fuse before charging.
That way I can see if battery discharge is outside of battery and hot short in the wiring is to blame.
All of this before I buy a battery.
I'll let other replies recommend a new battery.

Like above get the battery tested, even a new battery can go bad. Additionally, make sure your tender is connected and working properly. A Volt Ohm Multi Meter is your friend.
Have one of these (Big Crank) in my 2003 XLH1200S Works well

My bike has stock HD battery and is into its 4th winter. So far so good.
My partners machine would be fine in the summer but fails to start in the cold weather even though it is on a tender.
I have just put a Yuasa YTX14L-BS on it. Only one start so far in the cold and it fired up right away.
