Ain't nothing wrong with the S&S lifters, they're good stuff. But that video is a load of crock.

I've personally put in Comp Cams (and many other) lifters. You get oil to the top end within a minute or two as one would expect. To add to that, some lifters have the exact same internals as the S&S ones and measure out basically identical.

I can't see why either other than the most repeated phrase I've read from MoCo docs.
"To make manufacturing easier"..
The oil circulates the bore to give oil to the lifter from either position.
