UPDATE: my 1275 kit was received by Hammer Performance on Monday and verified by Dwayne. Now the waiting game begins. Hoping for some good news soon. This is my daily driver and borrowing/hitching a ride suxs.
I'm considering re-installing my original 1200 jugs and cams so I can get around town, but that's a full day's work that I don't really want to do.

UPDATE: Hammer's inspection is completed. They tried to rehone the cylinders but "they didn't come exactly back to spec." So, they replaced the rings and cylinders. Should have the parts back by this Friday (4/2).
I inquired as to what caused the issue and need for replacement and didn't get a clear answer from Hammer Performance. I was told, "the kit looked really good and the measurements were in spec." So I'm a little confused.
I inquired if there was something I need to be aware of or look out for so I don't run into the same issues. Hammer's response, "be sure to follow the installation instructions to the letter and double check all the other parts on the bike." I think one can clearly see that I've done my research and due diligence. I even referenced their notes in my build.
I hope that if it was something I did that I don't repeat it, but without a little input from the experts I'm only guessing as to what the problem really is/was.
I've had a few members reach out to me regarding similar problems with their kits, so my assumptions continue to grow unless otherwise corrected. I'm hoping for the best the second time around.
Wish me luck on round #2...

Do your break-in with dino oil, no synthetics.

Didn't use synthetics or gas w/ ethanol, but thanks for the info.

You seem pretty OCD/particular/thorough/organized etc. like myself. Based upon my recent experiences, which included 2 dud kits in a row, I'm fairly confident the issue wasn't due to anything that you did. Hopefully kit #2 does the trick and you can put it all behind you. Good luck and be sure to keep us updated.

After my 500 mile oil change it was 1/2 qt low, plugs where dark with carbon buildup, and, yes, I have a tab bit of OCD as wrkdWS6 has pointed out. Also, couldn’t get a good auto tune with my Powervision which was strange to me, because it tuned the sh!t out of my 1200 with mods and gave me great results. However, with the 1275 kit it never returned consistent results.

Hawkeye's 1275
What's going on at Hammer? Not good for PR.
