I tend to entirely ignore reviews like this. I did on another bigger forum you plugged your video on the same day. Not because I care how you or anyone makes money, but because most of the reviews in situations like this (and perhaps more so in magazines) are vague enough to ensure you get to do more.
I realize all gear opinions are that, but appreciate real life member opinions more than those from parties involved in selling, directly or not.

So now you are dictating what kind of threads can be started. Get real.

I've known Moshe for a long time as a MC enthusiast, since maybe 2003 or so.
He and others got in lots of debates about a number of things on the XL-List here and other XL related sites. His moniker was different back then.

I remember him as a very scientific minded guy who would do research before posting, not like the mindless opinions seen in other threads.

If you guys are bored there is alway the Covid thread...

I appreciate the time it takes to make videos and that you're trying to drive some viewers your way, and I'm okay with that. In the future, though, adding the highlights of your video (likes and dislikes, is it a value or a waste) to the initial post here would probably have avoided this entire discussion and may have kept it on track discussing the helmet and your thought of it.
Hi Kyle,

Thanks much. This helps me understand what the issue is. Just for background, normally my reviews are about 4-5 minutes long in video form, or ~500 words (1 page) when printed in a magazine. The vids normally link to the magazine articles so you can read if you'd like. But you're right, I can see how adding a little summary would start a discussion *without* having to watch the video or read a whole article. If it avoids all of this controversial stuff, I'm happy to do that going forward. I'm also keenly aware now that only the "old timers" on this board may know me, while newer folks think that I'm raking it in making $0.45 an hour making videos! ;-)

So... about this helmet. Here's the quickest summary I can come up with:

PROS:

+ Light weight - 3.1 pounds on my size L
+ air-inflatable cheek pads for a custom fit
+ nice fit and finish
+ well marked emergency release straps for internals (for EMS personnel)
+ good value - includes pinlok shield and full carbon fiber shell

CONS:

- ventilation actuator on the chin is in the direct path of shield actuator, so you can hit one or the other by accident, especially with thick winter gloves on.

GENERAL:

Noise level is about average for this class ($430 so I call this "midpriced,) and that's a purely subjective observation. I did not take dB level measurements. Ventilation is about average as well. Head shape is intermediate oval, similar to most Arais and Shoeis.

Wow, nothing there you couldn't learn by going to the Scorpion website.

Less than glowing reviews don't get you more free stuff to write glowing reviews about.

I wouldn’t spend more for a Scorpion than a Shoei.

I wear a Shoei RF-SR, it’s a very good helmet for the money IMHO.
Light, quiet, and comfortable. Snell certified, 5 star SHARP rating. it feels quality all around.
I tested the RF-1200 and liked the RF-SR for my more upright position when riding.

I have a Shoei RF-1200. It has a very distinct aerodynamically neutral angle your head sits at. It works for my sitting upright XL1200C and my R9T with low narrow bars and rearsets.

I'm actually testing the RF-1400 right now, which is the replacement for the RF-1200. RF-1200 owners typically REALLY love their helmets, so I'm going to use this RF-1400 for 6-8 months before reporting on it. My personal helmet is a Shoei Neotec-2.
